The introduction of the Ligentia brand brings together the two companies of Redfern International and Dolphin Logistics, both of whom have impressive pedigrees reaching back over 70 years.

Redfern International pioneered consolidation services to the Far East and Asia and was one of the first european companies to establish owned offices in Hong Kong as the conventional cargo services were containerised in the 1960's. It has built on that experience to develop a sophisticated range of inbound services from the Far East as global markets and sourcing have changed, supporting this through leading-edge supply chain management systems.

Dolphin Logistics has been a major player in the field of inbound supply chain management for the last 20 years, building on a sound commerical and forwarding background before that. Through its UK operation headquartered in London, supported by a Far East management facility established in Hong kong nearly 20 years ago, it has served an impressive list of high street retailers through that period and will continue to do so under the Ligentia name.

The contract logistics operation developed by Dolphin Logistics in the 1990's to provide additional faciltiies for its key retail customers in the UK will continue to be developed for all Ligentia customers who have outsourcing requirements for the management of their merchandise in the UK and Europe.
